By Registering as a Member or by utilising any Membership Facilities such as your Card or claiming any Member Benefit, you agree to be bound by, and your participation in Woolworths Rewards will be governed by, these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. Membership

    1. To become a Member you must be an individual, have a current Australian residential address and complete the online join process on our Website at woolworthsrewards.com.au or by calling the Contact Centre on 1300 10 1234 or by consenting to become a Member as part of an application for a Woolworths branded insurance, telecommunications or financial services product.

    2. If you do not wish to Register to become a Member you may not be able to take advantage of any Member Benefits.

    3. There is no joining fee or any ongoing annual fee to become or remain a Member.

    4. We may refuse your application for Membership or your request to add additional Cardholders for any reason.

    5. There is a limit of one Card per person.

    6. Membership is non-transferable.

    7. It is your responsibility to keep your personal details updated by logging into your Account or calling the Contact Centre. If you do not keep your personal details up to date, we may not be able to offer or provide you with any Member Benefits, and we may need to cancel your Membership and Card.

  2. Scanning your card or entering your card number when shopping Online

    1. In order to earn Member Benefits and to redeem your Woolworths Dollars for money off your shop, you need to scan your Card prior to the conclusion of the transaction, or if you are shopping Online, you need to make sure that your Card has been Linked in your Online account prior to checkout.

    2. Everything in these Terms and Conditions referring to the earning of Member Benefits and the redemption of Woolworths Dollars for money off your shopping must be read subject to clause 2.1.

  3. Earning Member Benefits

    1. You can earn Points as follows:

      a) you will earn a minimum of 1 Point for every whole dollar you spend at an Earn Business, excluding any money spent on Excluded Purchases;
      b) you will earn the number of Points advertised when you buy a Participating Product in an Earn Business;
      c) from time to time we may also send you exclusive personalised offers to earn Points based on your individual profile. These offers will only be available to you on your Card; and
      d) from time to time we may run promotions allowing you to earn Points on your purchases at Earn Businesses otherwise than as described in clauses a), b) and c).
    2. 2000 Points is equal to $10 Woolworths Dollars.

    3. The maximum permitted value of credit in your Account is 4,500 Woolworths Dollars. If you have opted into Convert to Qantas Points and your Account balance reaches this amount, any Woolworths Dollars you have accrued will be automatically transferred to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account in the form of Qantas Points. If you have opted into Save for Christmas and the value of credit in your Account exceeds 4,500 Woolworths Dollars, you will be opted out of Save for Christmas and the total value of credit in your Account will be made redeemable for your next Eligible Shop and the remaining Woolworths Dollars balance (if any) will be retained for future use.

    4. Woolworths may at any time change, add to or make deletions from the list of Participating Woolworths Group Businesses and list of Excluded Purchases.

  4. Redeeming Member Benefits

      Automatic redemption

    1. If you do not opt into Save for Christmas or convert to Qantas Points as described in clause 4.6, then your Points balance will be automatically redeemed. This means that once your Points balance reaches a threshold of 2,000 Points (equal to $10 Woolworths Dollars) (or such other amount as notified by Woolworths from time to time), you will automatically receive $10 off your next Eligible Shop.

    2. Redemption of Woolworths Dollars for money off your shop

    3. Woolworths Dollars can be redeemed in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars (or such other multiples as notified by Woolworths from time to time), e.g. $10 Woolworths Dollars, $20 Woolworths Dollars, $30 Woolworths Dollars.

    4. 1 Woolworths Dollar equals one AUD $1 off your next Eligible Shop. The redemption rate of Woolworths Dollars is determined by Woolworths and may be changed by Woolworths at any time.

    5. You cannot choose the number of Woolworths Dollars that you redeem on your next Eligible Shop. When you make your next Eligible Shop, the amount which is the highest multiple of $10 Woolworths Dollars in your Woolworths Dollars balance (or such other multiple as notified by Woolworths from time to time) equal to or less than the amount of your Eligible Shop will be automatically deducted as money off your shop.

    6. If you do not use all of the Woolworths Dollars in your next Eligible Shop, the remaining Woolworths Dollars balance is retained for future use.

    7. Save for Later

    8. You can opt into to Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points by updating your Redemption Preferences on the Website or calling the Contact Centre.

    9. You accept that, once you have opted into Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas and until you opt out of Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, all Points (whether from in store or Online shopping, competition winnings or exclusive offers) will be saved and will not be available for automatic redemption.

    10. You can change your Redemption Preference (from Save for Christmas to Convert to Qantas Points and vice versa) at any time until up to 24 hours prior to the next Payout Date, by updating your Redemption Preferences on your Account on the Website or by calling the Contact Centre. You cannot change your Redemption Preference during the 24 hours immediately prior to the next Payout Date.

    11. The Payout Dates will be as advertised on the Website.

    12. Save for Christmas

    13. If you have selected to Save for Christmas, your Woolworths Dollars will not be automatically redeemed as described in clause 4.1, but will accrue until the Payout Date for Save for Christmas as advertised on the Website in advance.

    14. On the Payout Date for Save for Christmas, the Woolworths Dollars accrued in your Account will become available for redemption, which means that you will receive the amount of Woolworths Dollars in your Account (in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars) as a discount in dollars on your next Eligible Shop(s).

    15. Convert to Qantas Points - Quarterly Redemption

    16. If you have selected to Convert to Qantas Points, your Woolworths Dollars will not be automatically redeemed as described in clause 4.1, but will accrue until the next Payout Date for Qantas Points as advertised on the Website in advance.

    17. On the next Payout Date for Qantas Points, the Woolworths Dollars accrued in your Account will be converted into Qantas Points. You will receive at least 870 Qantas Points for every $10 Woolworths Dollars in your Account. Conversion will take place in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars only. Any balance of less than $10 Woolworths Dollars will remain in your Account for future use.

    18. Woolworths may increase the conversion rate of Qantas Points to Woolworths Dollars from time to time, including on an ad hoc basis, so that you will receive more than 870 Qantas Points for every $10 Woolworths Dollars in your Account.

    19. Convert into Qantas Points now

    20. If you are opted into either Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, you can elect to convert your Woolworths Dollars balance into Qantas Points in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars within 7 Business Days of your election by calling the Contact Centre.

    21. Redeem my Woolworths Dollars for Online purchases now

    22. If you are opted into either Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, you can elect to use your available Woolworths Dollars balance, in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars, to receive a discount on your Online purchases, simply by clicking the ‘Redeem Now’ button on the Woolworths Online checkout. You cannot choose to ‘Redeem Now’ during the 24 hours immediately prior to the next Payout Date for Save for Christmas (if you are opted into Save for Christmas) or for Convert to Qantas Points (if you are opted into Convert to Qantas Points).Terms and conditions for converting Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points

    23. Any Woolworths Dollars you accrue after clicking on the ‘Redeem Now’ button will be saved until the next Payout Date in accordance with your Redemption Preference.

    24. Terms and conditions for converting Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points.

    25. You can only select to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points if you have a current Qantas Frequent Flyer membership which you have added to your Account. If your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is cancelled or removed from your Account after the date on which you opted into Convert to Qantas Points, you will not be able to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points after the date of such removal or cancellation.

    26. If you are not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can join Qantas Frequent Flyer to enable you to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points free of charge by clicking on the Qantas link on the Website or by calling the Qantas contact centre.

    27. You can only add one Qantas Frequent Flyer membership to your Account and your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership must be in the same name as your Account at the time your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is added to your Account.

    28. You can remove your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership from your Account via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre.

    29. If your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is not added to your Account, you will not be able to convert Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points from the date of removal of your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership from your Account.

    30. If your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is cancelled, you will cease to be able to convert Woolworths Dollar to Qantas Points from the date of cancellation.

    31. Further terms and conditions applicable to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and the conversion of Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points are set out in clause 9.

  5. Other Member Benefits

    1. You may qualify for other promotions, special benefits and exclusive offers from the Woolworths Group and selected third-party businesses ("Program Affiliates") which we may offer or enable as part of Woolworths Rewards from time to time.

    2. Other Members Benefits include:

      a) Member-only discounts, newsletters and automatic entry into prize draw competitions which may be run from time to time; and
      b) discounts, exclusive offers and personalised offers from members of the Woolworths Group and selected Program Affiliates.
    3. From time to time, Member Benefits may include Woolworths Rewards providing you with exclusive personalised offers based on your individual profile. These Member Benefits will only be available to you on your Card.

    4. We may specify exclusions and conditions (including qualifying spend and offer duration) for particular Member Benefits and we may change these from time to time.

    5. If at any time you do not wish to receive these other Member Benefits from any one of our businesses in the Woolworths Group or Program Affiliates you can call the Contact Centre or click the unsubscribe link on an email that you have received from us.

  6. Member Benefits - general terms and conditions

    1. Other than Fuel Discounts as specified in clause 8, Member Benefits are personal to you and are not transferable, unless we notify you otherwise.

    2. Member Benefits may not be accrued or used for any Business Transaction or other commercial or not-for-profit association purposes.

    3. We do not exchange or refund Member Benefits for anything else, including for cash or gift cards.

    4. We may reverse (debit) or cause to be reversed, any Member Benefits which have been allocated (credited) to you where you have returned the goods or you have been refunded for the goods or services in respect of which those Member Benefits were earned, or if there are other grounds which we consider reasonably justify a reversal, including, without limitation, Member Benefits credited erroneously or fraudulently or earned through fraudulent means. Woolworths reserves the right to monitor your purchase history to ensure that any Member Benefits are accumulated legitimately.

    5. Expiry of your Points balance

    6. Any unused Points balance of less than 2,000 Points (i.e. $10 Woolworths Dollars) in your Account will expire after 18 months from the date on which you last scanned your Card or completed a transaction with your Linked Online account.

    7. Where you have reached $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) on a Card, any unused Woolworths Dollars balance of $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) will expire 12 months from the date of earning the $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof).

    8. Card, the unused Woolworths Dollars balance of $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) will expire 12 months from the date of Registration.

    9. Tracking your Points balance

    10. To track your Points balance, you can check your Account on the Website or by calling the Contact Centre.

    11. It may take up to 72 hours for any Woolworths Rewards earned to be shown in your Account.

  7. Unregistered Temporary Card

    1. you do not Register your Unregistered Temporary Card within 6 months from the date that the Unregistered Temporary Card was first scanned or used with a Linked Online account (whichever occurred first), the Unregistered Temporary Card may be cancelled and, if cancelled, any Member Benefits credited to the Unregistered Temporary Card will also be cancelled.

    2. You are not able to redeem any Woolworths Dollars balance accrued on an Unregistered Temporary Card or to opt into Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points until you Register that Unregistered Temporary Card card via the Website or Contact Centre.

  8. Fuel Discounts

      Terms and conditions for qualifying for and redeeming Fuel Discounts

    1. For terms and conditions relating to how you can qualify for, and how you can redeem Fuel Discounts, please visit Woolworths Petrol.

    2. Fuel Discounts recorded on your Card

    3. If you qualify for any Fuel Discounts and scan your Card before the transaction is completed at the register or if you qualify for any Fuel Discounts when shopping through your Linked Online account, those Fuel Discounts will be recorded electronically on your Card.

    4. Multiple Fuel Discounts can be recorded on your Card. If you have Registered your Card, you can check the status of Fuel Discounts stored on your Card by visiting the Website or calling the Contact Centre.

    5. If you wish to redeem a Fuel Discount and have multiple Fuel Discounts loaded on your Card, the highest value Fuel Discount recorded on your Card will be used first, followed by the oldest unexpired Fuel Discount.

    6. To share Fuel Discounts

    7. If you have registered your Card, you can add Cards to your Account which have been Registered by your family or friends, either via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre.

    8. You must ensure that the additional Cardholders have given you and us their consent to be added to your Card on the terms set out in these Terms and Conditions.

    9. Woolworths Rewards cannot be shared with the additional Cardholders that have been added to a Primary Cardholder's account.

    10. You should note that all additional Cardholders may utilise some of your current entitlements without your prior knowledge, as set out below. For any Cardholders added to your Card, you consent to those Cardholders accessing the accrued entitlements as specified below.

      a) All Fuel Discounts recorded on additional Cards will be credited to one account (the " Combined Account"). The Combined Account will be available to be drawn on by each additional Cardholder so that any additional Cardholder may redeem a Fuel Discount loaded on the Combined Account. Once that Fuel Discount is accepted as redeemed, it will no longer be available for redemption by other Cardholders.
      b) If you want to add Cardholders to your Account, you and your family or friends must nominate one Card as the primary Card (" Primary Card"). The holder of the Primary Card is the " Primary Cardholder". 
      c) A maximum of 5 Cards, including the Primary Card, may be added together on a Combined Account.
      d) If you decide that you no longer want to be a Primary or additional Cardholder to other Card(s), you can remove other Cardholders from your Account via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre.
      e) A Primary Cardholder can remove other Card(s) without the other Cardholders' consent.
      f) If a Primary Cardholder removes other Card(s), all other Cards in the Combined Account will also be removed. The current Fuel Discounts in the Combined Account will be credited back to the Cardholder who accumulated them.
      g) If a Cardholder, other than the Primary Cardholder, wishes to be removed from the Combined Account, any current Fuel Discounts that they accumulated will be credited to their Card and will not be available for redemption by the remaining Cardholders in the Combined Account.
      h) If any Cardholder reports their Card lost or stolen, they will be issued with a new Card number and will need to have their Card re-linked via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre.
      i) If the Primary Cardholder reports their Card lost or stolen, they will be issued with a new Card number and all previously linked Card(s) will need to be re-linked via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre.
  9. The Qantas Frequent Flyer program

    1. The Qantas Frequent Flyer program is owned, operated and administered by Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901 ("Qantas"). You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem Qantas Points and Qantas Points can only be received in a Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account.

    2. Qantas Frequent Flyer program membership is determined by Qantas, not Woolworths. Woolworths determines only some matters, such as the rate at which Woolworths Dollars convert into Qantas Points (and which rate will not be lower than 870 Qantas Points for $10 Woolworths Dollars).

    3. Only individuals may be credited with Qantas Points (that is, companies, firms, associations and other organisations are not eligible to be credited with Qantas Points).

    4. Membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, Qantas Points (following them being credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account), certain other benefits (including earning, crediting, redeeming and expiry of Qantas Points), the number of Qantas Points required to be redeemed for Awards (as described in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program) and changes to the number of Qantas Points required to be redeemed for Awards are all subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions ("QFF Terms"). Qantas may change the QFF Terms from time to time. For the QFF Terms and for detailed information about the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, and changes to each, please see qantas.com/frequentflyer. Qantas may apply different rules to you according to whether or not you join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program without providing an email address.

    5. The QFF Terms include terms and conditions for earning Qantas Points on Qantas and other airlines (and other non-airline partners), redeeming points for Awards, changes to the program, cancellation of your membership and/or Qantas Points, expiry of Qantas Points, privacy related matters etc. Other terms and conditions for earning Qantas Points from other Qantas program partners, and for redemptions and Awards, also apply.

    6. Qantas may make decisions about the Qantas Frequent Flyer program which may affect your earning and redemption of points and membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

    7. Qantas recommends that you consult a tax advisor to ensure that you understand possible tax and fringe benefits tax implications, if any, related to your membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

  10. Deregistering your Woolworths Rewards Card

    1. If you no longer wish to be a Member of the Woolworths Rewards program but still wish to continue to use your Card to store and redeem your accrued Fuel Discounts, you can deregister your Card by calling the Contact Centre. By deregistering your Card you will no longer be able to track where you have accrued and redeemed your Fuel Discounts, be eligible to use or convert into Qantas Points any Woolworths Dollars balance accrued, be able to add or be added to other Cards to share Fuel Discounts, earn Points and redeem Woolworths Dollars, or be able to receive any other Member Benefits.

    2. If a deregistered Card is lost or stolen, any Fuel Discounts and Woolworths Dollars loaded on the Card cannot be reissued.

    3. If a Primary Card is deregistered on a Combined Account, any additional Cards on the Combined Account will not be deregistered but will no longer be a part of the Combined Account.

  11. Cancelling your Woolworths Rewards Card

    1. You may cancel your Card either via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre. If a Card is cancelled, any Points balance, Fuel Discounts and any other Member Benefits not already redeemed by the Cardholder or converted into Qantas Points will be automatically forfeited.

    2. By cancelling your Card, you will stop earning Points with your Card from the date of cancellation.

    3. If a Primary Card is cancelled on a Combined Account, any additional Cards on the Combined Account will not be cancelled but will no longer be part of the Combined Account.

  12. Lost, stolen or damaged Cards

    1. It is your responsibility to keep your Card and any other Membership Facilities provided to you safe and secure. If your Card is lost, stolen or damaged, visit the Website or call the Contact Centre.

    2. If your Card is lost or stolen, Woolworths may issue you with a replacement Card. We reserve the right to charge for replacement or additional Cards.

    3. In the case of a lost or stolen Card, Woolworths will issue you with a new Card number. Any unredeemed Fuel Discounts and Points balance loaded on your lost or stolen Card will be transferred from your old Card number to your new Card number and a new personalised Card will be issued to you.

    4. If your Card is lost or stolen and any Points balance or Fuel Discounts credited to the Card are subsequently redeemed, whether by the Cardholder or by another party, Woolworths will not reimburse you for those Points or Fuel Discounts.

    5. If your card is not Registered or has been deregistered, any Fuel Discounts and Points balance already credited to that lost or stolen unregistered card will not be replaced.

    6. If your Card is damaged or unusable, Woolworths may issue you with a replacement Card. We reserve the right to charge for replacement Cards. Any Fuel Discounts and Points balance loaded on your damaged Card will remain on your Account and a new personalised Card will be issued with the same card number as your existing damaged or unusable Card.

    7. Despite anything to the contrary in these Terms and Conditions, the issuing of replacement Cards and the re-instatement of current entitlements to Fuel Discounts and Points on lost, stolen or damaged Cards is at Woolworths' discretion.

    8. Please treat your Woolworths Rewards password as your confidential information and take care to prevent unauthorised use of or access to it.

  13. Rejection, Suspension and Cancellation

    1. Your Card is issued by and remains the property of Woolworths. Cards are not credit or charge cards and are not transferable.

    2. Woolworths reserves the right at any time without notice to:

      a) decline to issue Cards or provide any Membership Facilities;
      b) withdraw or cancel any Cards, Membership Facilities or Member Benefits;
      c) reverse any Member Benefits, including without limitation, any Woolworths Dollars or Points credited to an Account;
      d) terminate a Cardholder's Membership of the Woolworths Rewards program; or
      e) terminate the Woolworths Rewards program.
    3. Grounds for doing any of the things referred to in clause 13.2(a) to 13.2(d) include (but are not limited to):

      a) any abuse or attempted abuse of your Membership, your Card, the Woolworths Rewards program or anything associated with Woolworths;
      b) an act or omission contrary to these Terms and Conditions;
      c) any Member Benefits which are accumulated fraudulently or credited or accumulated erroneously;
      d) any use or attempted use of your Card, Unregistered Temporary Card or entitlement to a Fuel Discount, Woolworths Dollars or Points balance, or any other Member Benefits in a manner contrary to these Terms and Conditions;
      e) any use or attempted use of your Card, unregistered card or entitlement to a Fuel Discount, Woolworths Dollars or Points balance, or any other Member Benefits for purchases made by a person other than the Cardholder or, in the case of Fuel Discounts, the Primary Cardholder or any linked Cardholder;
      f) any reasonable suspicion of unacceptable conduct in connection with your Membership, including any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty, fraud or wrongful conduct;
      g) your bankruptcy or death; or
      h) where you do not scan your Card in any Participating Woolworths Group Businesses or shop through your Linked Online account at any time during a continuous 18 month period.
    4. Any tampering or defacing or unauthorised use of a Card will render the Card invalid.

    5. On cancellation of your Membership (including through requested cancellation of your Card), we may retain your membership information for record-keeping purposes and, in de-identified form, for our general data analysis purposes and we may allocate to another Member any membership identifier (including number) previously allocated to you.

    6. You agree that we do not need to notify you in advance, or give you any reasons, with regard to any action we take concerning your Membership.

  14. Woolworths' Liability

    1. You acknowledge and agree that there may be:

      a) delay in issuing you with, or non-issue to you of, any Member Benefits;
      b) delay in, or non-replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged Card;
      c) acts, errors or omissions by us in the course of providing Member Benefits (including as referred to in these Terms and Conditions);
      d) loss, theft or damage to any documentation in the course of post or delivery of that documentation to you; or
      e) a suspension and/or termination of the Woolworths Rewards program including, without limitation, the ability for Members to earn and redeem Points and Woolworths Dollars or to convert Woolworths Dollars into Qantas Points,and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable to you in any way for any cause in connection with such matters, including without limitation, for any unused Points or Woolworths Dollars balance in your Account at the time of termination.
    2. You agree that any comments, suggestions or recommendations you may receive from us or others as part of Member Benefits may not be suitable, accurate or complete and you must not rely on them in a way which may give rise to any loss or damage. If you intend to rely on anything in connection with Woolworths Rewards, your reliance should be based solely on your own judgement including as to the extent to which you should obtain or use any Member Benefits.

    3. Without limiting clause 14.6, any liability we may have to you in negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, and all conditions and warranties as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by Woolworths pursuant to these Terms and Conditions, whether express or implied by statute, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law, and, where liability cannot be excluded, our liability to you will in all cases be limited to:

      a) the cost of re-supplying the goods or services or repairing, or paying the costs of repairing, the goods; or
      b) reinstating the number of Points, Woolworths Dollars, or other Member Benefits, in dispute.
    4. The above limitation of liability in Woolworths' favour also applies to Related Bodies Corporate of Woolworths.

    5. Any tax, liability, or duty incurred by a Member arising from a Member's participation in the Woolworths Rewards program is the responsibility of the Member.

    6. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

    7. You acknowledge that unauthorised access to your Card, Account and personal information may occur if you do not take care to prevent anyone other than you and us from accessing your Card and information about your Membership, including your Account password.

  15. Privacy & Communications

      Privacy

    1. We collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Woolworths Rewards Privacy Collection Notice ("Collection Notice"), which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Woolworths may amend the terms of the Collection Notice from time to time in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

    2. By Registering as a Member or by utilising any Membership Facilities such as your Card or claiming any Member Benefit, you acknowledge that you have read the Collection Notice, and understand and agree that we will collect, use, store and disclose your personal information in accordance with its terms.

    3. You may access the Collection Notice here, or call the Contact Centre if you require a copy of the Collection Notice in a different format.

    4. Marketing - your opt-in and opt-out rights

    5. Without limiting any other provision of these Terms and Conditions or our Collection Notice, you agree that we may send you direct marketing communications and tailored advertising via various channels and media (including, without limitation, by email, SMS, phone, mail, or via ads on social media) where you have not opted out (as described in clause 15.5 below) from receiving such communications and advertising via those channels or media. Your agreement is deemed to be effective until such time as you opt out of receiving direct marketing or tailored advertising via the relevant channel or media.

    6. You may opt-out of receiving direct marketing communications (including opting-out of receiving such communications through certain media, or opting-out of receiving direct marketing communications via certain channels) by modifying your communication preferences on your Account. In the case of certain electronic direct marketing communications (including email or SMS), you may also use the opt-out/unsubscribe facility we provide in that communication or you can call the Contact Centre.

    7. Tailored advertising is, as its name suggests, advertising that is specifically tailored to particular types of groups or customer segments based on members' attributes, behaviour or preferences. Tailored advertising is facilitated through the use of cookies and other digital technologies. For more information, please see our Cookies Statement.

    8. To opt out of receiving tailored advertising, you can go to the www.youronlinechoices.com.au website, which will allow you to opt out of tailored advertising for many Australian websites. You can also opt out of receiving tailored advertising on the social media sites you use by changing your account settings for the relevant site. Please note that opting out of tailored advertising is device-specific. You will need to opt out of receiving tailored advertising for each device used to access online content.

    9. You can also block or disable cookies by adjusting the privacy settings in your web browser. If you adjust your settings to disable session and certain persistent cookies, you may find that the websites you visit have only limited functionality.

    10. If you have any questions about how to opt-out or unsubscribe please call the Contact Centre.

    11. Regardless of whether you opt out of any and/or all marketing communications, you consent to still receive service based communications relating to your Membership including, but not limited to, changes to these Terms and Conditions and/or our Collection Notice, Woolworths Group Privacy Policy, account transactions or information relating to the purchase of products and services you have made.

    12. If you wish to opt out of receiving service based communications this will cause your membership to be terminated. You will need to call the Contact Centre to terminate your Membership and you will thereafter no longer receive direct marketing communications or service based communications from Woolworths Rewards.

  16. Changes to Terms and Conditions and Termination

    1. Woolworths reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate these Terms and Conditions or the Woolworths Rewards program at any time.

    2. Woolworths will give advance notice of any such circumstance on our Website or you can obtain such details by calling the Contact Centre, allowing you to cancel your Membership within the period of that advance notice. You may do this in the way described in clause 11 above.

    3. Where we change the Terms and Conditions, a copy of the revised Terms and Conditions will be available on the Website or can be obtained by calling the Contact Centre.

    4. Continuing to use your Card or any Membership Facilities or seeking to access or use any Member Benefits after the period of advance notice has expired will be deemed acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions.

  17. Complaints and Queries

    1. If you have any queries or complaints regarding the Woolworths Rewards program, you should contact us. You can do this by calling the Contact Centre on 1300 10 1234 or by contacting us via the "Contact Us" page of our Website.

  18. Definitions:

    In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the following meaning:

    1. Account means your personal Woolworths Rewards account to which you log in through the Website.

    2. Business Days means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or official public holiday in New South Wales.

    3. Business Transaction means the purchase of goods at an Earn Business, whether in store or online, on a charge account (i.e. where payment is not due upon completion of the transaction but only 30 days or some other agreed period thereafter)

    4. Card means a Registered Woolworths Rewards membership card.

    5. Cardholder means the Member to which a particular Card is Registered.

    6. Combined Account has the meaning given in clause 8.8(a).

    7. Contact Centre means the contact centre operated by or on behalf of Woolworths for the purposes of the Woolworths Rewards program and contactable on 1300 10 1234.

    8. Convert to Qantas Points means the option you can select in the Redemption Preferences on your Account (either via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre) to have your Woolworths Dollars convert into Qantas Points on a Quarterly basis.

    9. Earn Businesses means the businesses where Points can be earned, being:


      (a) Woolworths Supermarkets;


      (b) Woolworths Online;


      (c) BWS; and


      (d) Participating Caltex Woolworths Co-branded Fuel Outlets


      but excluding:


      (e) Woolworths supermarkets, BWS and Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets in Tasmania;


      (f) deliveries from Woolworths Online for Tasmania; and


      (g) such other stores or businesses as we advertise from time to time.

    10. Eligible Shop means any transaction other than a Business transaction at a Redemption Business in which you spend at least $10, excluding any Excluded Purchases.

    11. Excluded Purchases means:

      a) in Woolworths supermarkets, both in store and Online: smoking/tobacco products and accessories, gift cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards and tickets, cash outs, delivery charges, internet cafes, purchases from woolworthsflowers.com.au and Carpet Care; and
      b) in BWS stores: smoking/tobacco products and accessories, cash outs and gift cards;
      c) in Participating Caltex Woolworths Co-branded Fuel Outlets: smoking/tobacco products and accessories, gift cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards and tickets, cash outs, lottery products and purchases using a Caltex StarCard or a Country Age Pension Fuel Card; and
      c) any purcahses as a part of a Business Transaction.
    12. Fuel Discounts means the offer to receive a cents per litre discount off the standard purchase price of fuel at Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets when you spend at least the qualifying amount in one transaction at a participating Woolworths/Safeway Supermarket.     13. Linked, in respect of your Online account, means that you have linked your Card number with your Online account.

    14. Member means a person who has Registered his or her Woolworths Rewards card and Membership has a corresponding meaning.

    15. Member Benefits are benefits which we specify from time to time in connection with Woolworths Rewards including, without limitation, Points, Woolworths Dollars, Qantas Points (once converted from Woolworths Dollars), the other Member Benefits specified in clause 5 of these Terms and Conditions and any other benefits we may make available to Members from time to time.

    16. Membership Facility means any means by which you access Woolworths Rewards (including any Member Benefits) including, but not limited to, your Card, the Woolworths app or the Website.

    17. Online means Woolworths Online at woolworths.com.au.

    18. Participating Caltex Woolworths Co-branded Fuel Outlets means Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets excluding any such outlets with a Star Mart or Star Shop on the forecourt.

    19. Participating Products means such products as advertised from time to time on which you can earn Points (as advertised in respect of the products) when you purchase those products.

    20. Participating Woolworths Group Businesses means the Earn Businesses and the Redemption Businesses.

    21. Payout Date means each date on which your Woolworths Dollars are converted to Qantas Points (if you have elected to Convert to Qantas Points) or on which your Woolworths Dollars are available for redemption as money off your shop (if you have elected to Save for Christmas).

    22. Points means a sub-unit of Woolworths Dollars, whereby 2000 Points equals $10 Woolworths Dollars.

    23. Primary Card has the meaning given to it in clause 8.8(b) of these Terms and Conditions.

    24. Primary Cardholder has the meaning given to it in clause 8.8(b) of these Terms and Conditions.

    25. Program Affiliates has the meaning given to it in clause 5.1 of these Terms and Conditions.

    26. QFF Terms has the meaning given in clause 9.5.

    27. Quarter means the 3 month intervals as advertised by Woolworths on the Website from time to time.

    28. Redemption Businesses means the businesses where Woolworths Dollars can be redeemed for money off your shop, being;


      (a) Woolworths Supermarkets;


      (b) Woolworths Online;


      (c) BWS; and


      (d) Participating Caltex Woolworths Co-branded Fuel Outlets


      but excluding:


      (e) Woolworths supermarkets, BWS and Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets in Tasmania;


      (f) deliveries from Woolworths Online for Tasmania; and


      (g) such other stores or businesses as we advertise from time to time.

    29. Redemption Preferences means the selection in your Account as to whether or not you wish to be opted into Save for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points.

    30. Registered means that you have registered your Woolworths Rewards membership card on the Website or by calling the Contact Centre and Register, Registering and other similar expressions have a corresponding meaning.

    31. Related Bodies Corporate has the same meanings as in the Corporations Act 2001.

    32. Save for Christmas means the option you can select in the Redemption Preferences on your Account, (either via the Website or by calling the Contact Centre) to cease automatically redeeming your Woolworths Dollars and instead save them to be used on and after the Payout Date advertised by Woolworths on the Website as the Payout Date for Save for Christmas.

    33. Terms and Conditions means this document, and any other documents referred to in it.

    34. Unregistered Temporary Card means a paper, non-personalised Woolworths Rewards membership card which you can pick up in store to enable you to obtain some Member Benefits and which you have not Registered. 

    35. Website means the Woolworths Rewards website at woolworthsrewards.com.au.

    36. Woolworths means Woolworths Limited ACN 000 014 675 of 1 Woolworths Way, Bella Vista NSW 2153.

    37. Woolworths Dollars, Dollars and Woolworths Dollars balance means the credit held in your Account following your purchases at Earn Businesses or otherwise accumulated by you under these Terms and Conditions, which can be redeemed as described in clause 4.

    38. Woolworths Group means Woolworths Limited and its Related Bodies Corporate.

    39. Woolworths Rewards means the customer loyalty program we designate as such from time to time.

    In these Terms and Conditions, reference to: "we", "our" and "us" are references to Woolworths Limited and references to "you" and "your" are references to the individual who has Registered as a Woolworths Rewards member, used any Membership Facilities such as a Woolworths Rewards card or who has sought to earn, access or use any Member Benefits.
